Tom Brady keeps confusing the NFL world about his future. Last year in February, the seven-time Super Bowl champion announced his retirement only to change his mind 40 days later. And now that his Tampa Bay Buccaneers are back above .500 this season with a vintage TB12 comeback drive, Brady has found a reason to carry on. Friend and expert, Sean Payton agree.

Former New Orleans Saints head coach and Super Bowl winner Sean Payton have joined a long line of football experts who think that Tom Brady is not hanging up his cleats anytime soon. Brady has a post-retirement contract with Fox Sports in place waiting for him. However, just like Eli Manning before, Sean Payton doesn’t give this too much of a shot given that TB12 is still driving comebacks at 45.

Sean Payton joined Tom Brady, Jim Gray, and Larry Fitzgerald on the latest episode of the Let’s Go Podcast. On being asked about Brady’s future and if Payton would ever team up with him, Sean said, “Who says Tommy is coming to Fox right away? I know this is his podcast. But clearly we don’t want to get another team in trouble.” Brady and Co. beat the Saints 17-16 on MNF.

Sean Payton could return for a comeback with Tom Brady as his QB

After winning the Super Bowl with Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton became one of the most wanted offensive minds in the league. The Miami Dolphins tried teaming him up with Tom Brady this year in the off-season after Payton left the Saints after 16 years at New Orleans. Payton is currently enjoying his role as an analyst at Fox Sports. However, he’s itching to return to the sidelines.

I know that I want to coach again and it’s not really been a secret. I think sooner than later,” Payton said about making his coaching return. Tom Brady is in the final year of his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the five-time Super Bowl MVP didn’t discard the idea of joining Payton in his next franchise. “You never know what the future looks like,” TB12 said.

There are multiple franchises in the league currently looking for a winning QB-HC duo. The Denver Broncos are a likely destination for Brady and Payton after the horrendous season that Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett are currently having. However, that’s for next year and Tom Brady has his head down for the San Francisco 49ers for now.
