The NFL has always been full of injuries and scary events. There have been studies in the past that have proven that there are huge risks of CTE in the game. Furthermore, there was also an incident that involved Damar Hamlin and his cardiac arrest. Therefore, even fans expect the players to be fine with getting injured and taking the pain while playing. In the vein of that, the San Francisco 49ers tight end, George Kittle spoke about the perils of playing football.

While the tight end has been compared to other players, he had an interesting opinion on the ways the game function. While on a podcast, he went on to speak about a particular aspect of the sport that makes each week of the season very long for the players. However, the way he spoke about the perils of playing did not impress the fans. They had a hilarious take on the way Kittle was speaking about the grueling time NFL players have.

The sensitive side of George Kittle
While Kittle was on the podcast with Theo Von, he spoke about the perils of playing Sunday games. He mentioned the long process of taking the toll of injuries that happen so routinely during the game. The tight end went on to compare the constant barrage of injuries he faced every Sunday to a car accident. He also mentioned that there was no way that people watching could understand how the injuries are.

Furthermore, Kittle mentioned that in between the games, the 49ers’ players had lifting sessions as well. This made it very hard to ensure that recovery took place.

Furthermore, fans had some hilariously bashing reactions to Kittle’s take. He did not gain any sympathy from the fans as he mentioned the hard parts of playing in the NFL.

Instagram chastises Kittle for his opinion
While Kittle passionately spoke about the injury aspect of the NFL, Instagram went on to mock him for the way he spoke. One fan mentioned a comparison with another pro league and said, “The NHL called and said why are you so soft.”
However, one fan mentioned the difference between the NFL and the NBA and said, “Annnnnnd NBA players can’t play more than 2 games a week?”

There were also comments about pain management from the fans, “He needs a better chemist.”
Fans also spoke about the compensation Kittle receives and said, “That’s why he gets paid the big bucks.”
Finally, one fan mentioned the difference in the league now and said, “They don’t even hit anymore.”

While Kittle spoke about a pertinent issue, fans mostly just mocked the tight end’s concerns. It only remains to be seen if Kittle’s concerns are valid or if he’s overreacting.
