The depleting wide receiver corps of Tom Brady is getting a new addition in the form of Cole Beasley into the roster. Since the top three prospects have been balled out, the Buccaneers were left with no choice but to search for free agents in the market. The real question is whether he can actually fill the void of a shattered offensive unit.

Per reports, Tom Brady was eying this SMU product for a long time. The 33-year-old was a Trump card for the Bills in the past three seasons. Josh Allen utilized him pretty well until he was released by the franchise in March this year.

Since then, he was neglected the entire summer with no contracts approaching him, but now the Buccaneers are in a dire need of impactful wideouts, especially when the Week 3 clash is against a team like the Packers. The Athletic’s Greg Auman revealed this news via Twitter.

The veteran played his first seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. He was selected as an undrafted free agent in 2012 and rendered his services through the 2018 season. After a brief stint with the Bills, later on, Beasley got involved in a tussle related to Covid protocols.

Last season, he was all over the news for being fined $100,000. Reportedly, he failed to follow the precautionary mandates related to the global pandemic, his anti-vax propagandas attracted a large-scale audience.

Recently, Mike Evans lost his cool against the Saints in Week 2, which made him sit outside with a one-game suspension. Meanwhile, Julio Jones and Chris Godwin have been healing from their injuries and won’t return anytime soon. At the same time, getting the better of a defensive unit like that of the Packers is ultimately a tedious job.

“It’s a tough game. It’s a big challenge,” Brady said. “I got a lot of studying on the plane last night. It’s a new defensive coordinator since the last time we played them, and they have some really talented players on defense, really physical up front, and some great edge rushers.” Brady said in the recent episode of Let’s Go! Podcast. Regardless of the result, it is pretty sure that the game will be an exciting back-and-forth between two of the greatest NFL QBs.
