According to many, the biggest surprise of this NFL season was the fight by the NFC East teams. While Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys looked strong going into the season. People weren’t really expecting anything out of the other two teams, especially the Washington Commanders who have been looking like a lost cause. They started the season going 1-4. However they bounced back by winning 6 of their next 7 games. Since then, then, the team has been on a 4 game losing streak is now out of the play-off picture. One particularly irked fan, millionaire Alexis Ohanian, has recently voiced his disappointments.
As one can expect after fumbling a good situation like this, the team is treading on thin ice with the fans. Today, husband of Tennis icon Serena Williams and co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian took the fans down his memory lane and came out with his disappointment with the team.

The very first thing I did when I sold @reddit in 2006 was upgrade my dad's season tickets from 2 nosebleeds to 4 front row and I didn't miss a home game w my dad and bros for a DECADE. But 5 yrs ago I gave up the tickets bc I could no longer support such a poorly run biz

The 39-year-old shared a post in which he was cheering for Washington’s football team. The investor revealed that the first thing he did after selling Reddit in 2006 was to upgrade his father’s season tickets from “2 nosebleeds to 4 front row“. However he later revealed that he could not support the organization after calling them a “poorly run biz“.
Fans plead with Alexis Ohanian to take over
It seems like the millionaire struck a chord with the fans of the Commanders. There was a lot of agreement with him, while many countless others pleaded for Ohanian to take over the business himself.

The Washington Commanders are currently owned by FedExField owner, Daniel Snyder. The family took over 100% control of the franchise after buying the remaining 40.5% stakes worth $875 million in March of 2021. However, nearly 2 years after the move, there are speculations that Snyder might consider a potential sale of the establishment.
There have been multiple reports of interested parties. Leading the line are tech giant Jeff Bezos and pop sensation Jay-Z. The duo were even spotted at a secret dinner in Los Angeles right around the time when these rumors were making the rounds.

That looks like quite a company to join or compete with for Ohanian, but who knows, maybe the next management could reignite the fan boy within him.
