“You Only Got One Super Bowl Out of Aaron Rodgers?” – Brandon Marshall on the Green Bay Packers

Recently, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall appeared on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. The 36-year-old opened up on various subjects and had a very low opinion on the Green Bay Packers and how they treated Aaron Rodgers.
Cowherd himself was not too impressed with the Packers either, and criticized their lack of aggression in their moves. Clearly, Brandon Marshall echoed the same sentiments, especially when referring to Aaron Rodgers.
He said, “It’s too late. Come on man, they should’ve won two Super Bowls in the last five years. To me, Aaron Rodgers is my favorite quarterback in the NFL, but you wasted this guy’s career. You got one Super Bowl out of Aaron Rodgers? Are you kidding me? It’s too late! It’s too late.”

On one end of the spectrum, a quarterback of Rodgers’ caliber should have multiple Super Bowls under his belt. However, on the other hand, Rodgers has had the misfortune of playing in the same era as several top class quarterbacks.

He has been pitted against Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck and Ben Roethlisberger. Even among the young blood, he has to face the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson.
Why is Aaron Rodgers so Underrated?
It is also noteworthy that Aaron Rodgers suffered major collarbone injuries in two seasons of his 15-year career. The bad news is that it makes his quest for a second Super Bowl ring that much harder.

Some may argue that it is a combination of the Green Bay Packers wasting Rodgers’ career and Rodgers’ own misfortune. It only goes to show how competitive the NFL is and how difficult it is to win Super Bowls.
