The Bruce Arians-led Tampa Bay Buccaneers made their way to a 23-31 win over NFC East champions, Washington Football Team, on Saturday night.
The 6-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady put in another strong post-season display as the Bucs secured a spot in the Divisional Round Playoffs. Brady went 22 of 40, throwing for 381 yards and 2 passing touchdowns.
The visitors were made to work for the win as the home team fought back without Alex Smith on the field. Despite a second-half comeback, it was the Bucs who walked away with a win after a 4th-quarter blitzkrieg.

After a playoff win, fans would expect Buccaneers HC Bruce Arians to breathe a sigh of relief and compliment his players. But they’d be wrong. Instead, the experienced NFL boss opted to give some pointers to his team’s defensive stars after a mixed performance in the American capital.
“This performance, defensively, wouldn’t be” enough to beat a team like the Saints, Arians said at the post-game presser.
