‘It’s Tough, Definitely a Change’ – Aaron Rodgers Explains the Difficulties Rams’ Jared Goff Has to Face at Lambeau Field

Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers knows a thing or two about playing in harsh conditions. Over the course of 16 seasons he’s played at Lambeau Field, Rodgers has taken part in multiple snow affected games.
Mastering the challenge that the ‘Frozen Tundra’ poses at this time of the year is no easy feat. But Rodgers seems to have mastered the craft of playing in the snow.
So with the LA Rams coming to take on the Packers in their own backyard for the Divisional Round, Rodgers had some advice to share for his compatriots, especially the opposition quarterback, Jared Goff.

Aaron Rodgers highlights the challenges that await the Rams
The Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, while talking on the Pat McAfee Show, highlighted some of the factors that the Rams will need to adapt to, to make a mark at Lambeau Field.
“Yeah, it’s tough just because there are so many different factors. I think that you have to deal with not just the flooding, but the humidity, and how the ball feels on your hand,” said Rodgers.

“Defense Has to Kill Them” – Analyst Outlines What the Rams Need to Do in Order to Stop Aaron Rodgers and Co.
“How the ball comes off, if there’s any type of precipitation, which in this case, based on the weather would be snow. That changes how the ball comes off as well.”
Rodgers highlighted that Goff will have to adapt fast to what could be a whole different ball game, courtesy of the snow.
“So there’s a lot of things that you got to try and figure out in a short amount of time. The ball feels different as it gets below 30, which we’re expecting on Saturday. So it’s definitely a change.”
Rams have other concerns to take care of as well
Apart from the prospect of playing football in -14 degree wind chill, the Rams have other headaches as well. Starting quarterback Jared Goff is still a concern heading into the game.

The QB had to undergo surgery for a dislocated thumb he had suffered in the Week 16 tie against the Seattle Seahawks. Though he played a sizeable portion of his side’s Wild Card Round game against the same opponents last week, the Rams will have to be careful with how they operate with Goff.

Star D-linesman Aaron Donald is also nursing an injury himself. After suffering a rib injury in the Rams’ first playoff game, Donald is still questionable to start. Although, Rams’ head coach insisted later on that Donald should be okay to play against the Packers this Saturday.
Nursing injuries and taking hits in sub-freezing temperatures is not going to be a pleasurable experience for the Rams roster. But if they are to mount a challenge for the Lombardi Trophy, they must take on the challenge Lambeau Field throws at them head-on.
