Jack Hughes is a professional ice hockey player from the USA and he was born in May 14th 2001. He was born in Orlando, Florida, into a loving and extgremely sport oriented family.  Jim Hughes is Jack’s father, and he has always made sure that his three sons, Jack, Quinn, 18, and Luke, 14, have everything they need to become famous hockey stars. Hockey fans were elated and surprised to discover that the three brothers had a chance to be taken in the 1st round of the NHL draft. 

 No American family had ever had three players taken in the first draft together in the NHL. In fact, the 2019 draft is already being referred to as the “Jack Hughes draft.” In early March, Jack broke the National Team Development Program’s season scoring record for a player in his under-17 season: 87 points in 46 games.

“It’s in our bones,” Jack says as per ESPN.  In fact, it is true because his father Jim, was a star Defenceman at Providence College. Before he embarked on a coaching career that needed his family to move around a lot. The family had been to Orlando, Boston And also to many other places. While other kids were busy in souvenir shops or concession stands, Jack and his brother Quinn were fixated on the TD Garden ice with a tub of popcorn.  “You’ve got to learn something from that, right?” Ellen said.

Ellen is also a huge reason that her sons are such amazing athletes. They have got it from both their father and mother. In many ways, Ellen was the very first coach that her boys had the privilege of getting. She was a three-sport athlete at the University of New Hampshire— Soccer lacrosse, and hockey. World Cup of tea, and she also went on to play for Team USA at the second IIHF World Women’s Hockey Championship in 1992.  That is so cool, right?  She also taught all three of her sons to skate and laid a very strong foundation for what would become the most important element in their game.

“She could wheel a bit,” says Quinn, who has seen video of his mother’s playing days. “She was an awesome player.”  Their mother was one of the best coaches the brothers got, and it shows in their gameplay now.  Those early mornings and trainings provided the best development for Quinn, Jack, and Luke. On a huge frozen campus, only imagination and creativity were their friend.

Jack does have siblings, Luke and Quinn  Who also has good as him when it comes to hockey. All three of them were trained by their parents, who are amazing athletes and have also Been there first ever coaches. They were each other’s friend, family, and competition. In 2006, Jim found a job as an assistant with the American Hockey League Marlies, and this meant that the family had to move to Toronto.

 This meant that when winter weekends Arised For the next nine years The three brothers and their mother were in Toronto’s Wedgewood Park Where they would be skating in the outdoor rink. Shortly after the frozen-over tennis court was flooded with a fresh sheet of ice, Ellen would roll up in a GMC Yukon XL filled with preteen boys and their hockey bags, usually before anyone else.

“They grew their passion for the game outdoors,” Jim Hughes says. “There was no structure. They just had fun, but everything was a competition.” If they weren’t at the ODR, they were in their basement, with its tattered net and walls scarred from years of errant pucks.” This is how the siblings grew up and bonded. 

Hughes, along with his older brother Quinn and younger brother Luke, spent numerous hours playing hockey in the house. The trio always seemed to be playing or watching the sport. “It was unbelievable,” said Jack to USA HockeyNTDP, on playing with his brothers. “It wasn’t always just the three of us — we usually would have friends over and would have big mini-sticks games. It was always hockey, hockey, hockey in my house. We would have Hockey Night in Canada on, or playing at the outdoor rinks. We are all very competitive and just love the game.” 

What Is Jack Hughes’s Parents Ethnicity and Nationality?

Jack and his family are American, and he grew up inthe  USA.  The family has deep roots in sports in general, especially when it comes to ice hockey. Jack’s mother, Ellen Is Jewish and was a member of the US Women’s national ice hockey team. She was inducted into the UNH Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.

While his father is Catholic and worked as an NHL coach. Jack was born in Orlando, Florida, but raised largely in Toronto, Canada, before moving to Michigan. Jack has identified as Jewish and had a bar mitzvah.

His family always prioritised hockey and sports, along with a healthy competition between the siblings that would foster improvement and bonding.

Jack’s career has been hugely influenced by his parents, especially because both of them were star athletes. Jack and Luke play for the same team, the New Jersey Devils. His older brother, Quinn Hughes, is currently serving as the captain for the Vancouver Canucks. As per the NHL, with this match, the Hughes family became the ninth family to have at least three brothers play in the same NHL game. This is a huge achievement indeed, and Jack’s parents supported all three of their children.
