Lindsey Vonn has gone through a lot. She came rolling back at 40 years old flying down the icy twists of the World Cup finals to grab a second place at the Super G. She is a story of determination and confidence in the face of extreme hurdles. From mental to physical problems, she has experienced almost everything. A partial knee replacement and even depression had knocked on her door once. Vonn did what she always has: rise. “One foot in front of the other,” she said.

Her life had crumbled once when she was 17 and sad, only her parents were involved in the story. It’s not that they did not love her, but their relationship had put a mental strain on her little heart. So what happened? How did they keep on supporting her despite their separation?
Who Is Lindsey Vonn’s Father Alan Kildow?
Lindsey’s father, in Kildow is a big reason that she is a star athlete today. Alan was an accomplished skier on the National Junior Circuit, and even Lindsay’s grandfather was also a competitive skier. So, naturally, she always had athletic Powers in her DNA. Lindsay was also not spared from physical injuries due to this sport. Unfortunately, her dad told Time magazine that he felt a lot of guilt about introducing his daughter to this sport. She has had two ACL tears and several knee injuries Which are definitely going to affect her when she gets older. “She’s going to have a physical deficit for life,” he said. “And that really bothered me a lot.”

Linda was the strong anchor that Lindsay always needed. She suffered a stroke when giving birth to her daughter But never give up. The Olympian shared photos of her mother on Instagram, writing that while she is both “grateful for every moment” she had with her, and was also “thankful that she is no longer suffering and at peace.”
Elsewhere in the Instagram post, Vonn included an excerpt from her memoir, which had been dedicated to Linda.
“She is my inspiration not because of what she did for my skiing career, but how her perpetual positivity shaped me into the person I am on, and most importantly, off the slopes,” Vonn wrote. “Every adversity I have faced, I found perspective and inspiration from her. Throughout the many hardships in her life, they only made her stronger, kinder, and more humble. That type of grit is what shaped me since I was a child; whether I knew it then or not, I know it now.”

“Yesterday my Olympic dream did not finish the way I dreamt it would,” she wrote. “It wasn’t a storybook ending or a fairy tale, it was just life. I dared to dream and had worked so hard to achieve it. Because in Downhill ski racing the difference between a strategic line and a catastrophic injury can be as small as 5 inches.”
