World No. 1 Novak Djokovic captured his ninth Australian Open title in Melbourne on Sunday. After winning the Australian Open, Djokovic took part in a question-and-answer round with a young fan who asked Djokovic questions covering various fields.
One of the most interesting questions asked was about which celebrity the Serb would like to dine with. Novak was quick to say “Michael Jordan.” Jordan is one of the most successful players in NBA history and has raised the bar for the sport. Although the sport is played majorly in America, Jordan helped globalize it to a great extent.

Due to his vast popularity, Jordan has inspired many youngsters who as of today have become great sporting personalities themselves. Djokovic is one of them, and his desire to have dinner with Jordan clearly indicates his admiration for the NBA legend.
In the past, Novak has had a close association with basketball players such as Kobe Bryant. Last year, Kobe, unfortunately, lost his life in a helicopter crash. The incident took place during the Australian Open 2020, and Novak dedicated his win to the late LA Lakers legend.

The Serb was even asked about his favorite sports in the Q&A session. Highlighting his love for basketball, he answered, “I love other sports, I spent a lot of time in my childhood in the mountains so I used to ski a lot… After tennis, it is my favorite sport. I like any sport that involves a ball, I like football, basketball, handball… I like to golf as well.”

On the tennis front, the Serbian machine beat Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Australian Open 2021 and finished the match in three straight sets. The match was over within two hours.
After winning his 18th Grand Slam title, Novak is scheduled to play in Dubai later in March, although issues on the right side of his abdomen could lead to changes in his schedule in the near future.
