Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic will throw a special bash at his Belgrade restaurant on Monday to celebrate a massive career milestone. The 18-time Grand Slam champion will officially overtake familiar foe Roger Federer’s record of staying World Number 1 for 310 consecutive weeks on Monday.
A report in Spanish publication Marca said that Djokovic flew out of Marbella on Friday to undergo thorough checks and take a proper medical assessment on his abdominal injury in his homeland.

The report also said he has arranged a big party with friends, family and well-wishers at his eatery, which is aptly named ‘Novak 1’, to ring in the career landmark.
One of the best eating places in the Balkan country, the restaurant is popular not just with sports and tennis fans but normal visitors as well.

The win put him within touching distance of the career Grand Slam haul of Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Continuing with his superhuman effort, Djokovic put on a show in the title clash to hand in-form Russian Daniil Medvedev a straight-set rout.
