Novak Djokovic Shows Class Act After Clinching Australian Open 2021 Title

Despite the uncertainties surrounding the 2021 Australian Open, the result was much expected. World No.1 Novak Djokovic triumphed at Melbourne Park for a record 9th time and won his 18th Grand Slam title. With the victory, he became only the second man in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam event nine times.
Nothing could stop Djokovic from getting his hands on the trophy, not even an abdominal tear he suffered midway through the tournament. To celebrate the historic feat, Djokovic roamed around the picturesque beaches of Melbourne on Monday and posed with his Australian Open trophy.

Having always been the one to take interact with his fans, Djokovic signed autographs and clicked pictures with many of his fans on the beach.

Interestingly, Djokovic showed a heartfelt gesture by signing his autograph on the belly of a pregnant lady. The Serbian also made a heart sign next to the autograph, showing his love for the upcoming baby.

This beautiful act from Djokovic left the pregnant lady smiling, and she happily got her autographed belly photographed on the beach.
In fact, after winning the final, Djokovic gave his racquet to one of the fans in the Rod Laver Arena by tossing it into the crowd. Apart from being one of the greatest ever players, Djokovic has a humanitarian side of him which he expresses through the work of his Foundation.

Having faced some tough moments over the last six months, the Australian Open title provided Djokovic with an emotional healing touch.
He is now just two Grand Slam titles away from matching his arch-rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. But Djokovic is already secured of surpassing Roger Federer’s record of most weeks spent at No.1 ranking, a goal he has always wanted to achieve.
