The 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix marked the final race for a few drivers. Drivers like Fernando Alonso, Stoffel Vandoorne, Marcus Ericsson, Brendon Hartley, Sergey Sirotkin and Esteban Ocon raced for the final time. While Alonso’s was the saddest since he was retiring, one departure that nearly rivalled his was that of Ocon’s.

While all the departed drivers are quite talented in their own way, Ocon was a cut above the rest. The Frenchman was well liked in the F1 community and even among journalists and other media sites.

Recently on the WTF1 Youtube and Instagram pages, a clip was posted, showing Ocon walking away with his bags packed.

While it isn’t uncommon to see a driver walking away from the paddock after the race, this was far more significant.

It was actually a representation of the fact that he won’t be back next season.
