Carson Foster is just 23 and he has already figured it out. From being an Olympic medalist swimmer, to winning multiple medals in world championships, he’s the master of freestyle swimming and individual medley.

His fans already know a lot about his career achievements, but what about his personal life? Apart from his family, who is his biggest support system? Let’s get to know his wife, Meredith Wolf, who is always by his side through the highs and lows.

Who Is Meredith Wolf?

Meredith Wolf is Carson Foster’s high school sweetheart and wife, whom he married shortly after competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was 22 years old when he got married to his high school sweetheart in front of approximately 220 guests on August 16. They got married at the Monastry Event Centre in their hometown of Cincinnati.

They invited 220 guests to be a part of their big day, among them eight of Foster’s fellow Olympians: Drew Kibler, Gretchen Walsh, Alex Walsh, Shaine Casas, Charlie Swanson, Kieran Smith, David Johnston and Caspar Corbeau.

The couple, who live in Austin, Texas, told PEOPLE that they couldn’t imagine tying the knot anywhere other than the Queen City.

“Carson and I both grew up in Cincinnati, where most of our family still resides. No matter where life takes us, Cincinnati will always be considered home,” Wolf says. “We love bragging about our hometown, and it’s a joy to share the unique charm and warmth of Cincinnati with our friends.” Now that they have been happily married for almost 2 years, let’s get to know more about Meredith Wolf.

Where Is Meredith Wolf From and What Is Her Background?

Meredith is from Mason, Ohio, which is home to the Mason Manta Rays swimming club.Interestingly, she also had an early swimming career with the club until she retired in March 2019.

Now she concentrates on roles as a Young Life leader at Dreher High School, swim instructor, lifeguard, and is also involved in fundraising events while also being in finance.

In March 2019, she swam at the Southern Premier Invitational competition with a season-best score of 25.35s in the 50-Y Free Prelims. During the days she was active in swimming, she swam at the NCSA Summer Championship, Speedo Championship Series, and 2016 OH LSC LC Senior Championships with a record of her personal bests of 29.10, 1:03.42, and 2:15.32.

She also did an internship at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Austin, where she worked as a tax compliance employee. In August 2019, Meredith was awarded the Capstone Scholar and was named on the President’s Honor Roll in May 2020, and they were both took admission to the university, where she finally graduated in 2023. So not only is she a swimmer like her husband, but she’s also an accomplished individual outside of that.

How Did Carson Foster and Meredith Wolf Meet?

The couple has been dating since August 2017, and they met as teenagers through the Mason Manta Rays swim club in Ohio where both of them used to train.

Their romance began in high school and grew stronger through shared training and competitions. They dated for seven years before tying the knot, and Meredith said, as per People magazine, that it was an honor, to marry Carson.

Even Carson was over the moon after the wedding was completed smoothly, just after he returned from the Paris Olympics. “Getting married to Meredith means finally announcing for good that I get to start a family and a lifelong journey with the person who has been my best friend since I was 15 years old,” the athlete told PEOPLE.

He also mentioned how she has always been a pillar of support for him ever since they were 15 years old.”We are excited to embark on this new chapter of living life fully as a couple,” Wolf stated. “Carson is not only my best friend but also my home; wherever he is, that’s where I want to be.”

What Does Meredith Wolf Do Now?

She has a degree in International Business with a Spanish minor, achieved from the University of South Carolina (graduated in 2022–2023).

Her present role is as a Young Life leader at Dreher High School, and past internships, including at PwC in Austin as a tax compliance intern.

Before this, Meredith was employed as a special order manager, planning a fundraising event for leukemia research. She also worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard, where she instructed children between the ages of 3 and 8 on the main steps to swimming and the basics involved in it, after which she worked as a nanny for a specific family. Now she works as a Young Life Leader and team lead at Dreher High School.

Now that the couple is going steady, Carson is gearing up for the world championships in 2025. How do you think he’s going to perform?
