Michaela Rose has always had a mindset of a winner ever since she was 4. As per Fast Women.com, she remembered running her first mile race at age four: “I told myself, ‘I’m four, I can run four laps.’” The LSU senior track and field athlete loves challenging herself and breaking records, it seems. The 21-year-old not only broke records in 2024 but did the same again in 2025, and this time it was a bigger feather in her cap! A star like her needs sponsors, right? But does she have any?
The senior clocked another sub-2-minute time with 1:58.95 to achieve her feat without breaking a sweat, to gain a spot on ESPN’s “Top Plays” during a late-night “SportsCenter.” She set an incredible NCAA championship-meet record, enhancing on the time of 1:59.11 from Wisconsin’s Suzy Favor way back in 1990.
Michaela Rose, the star of the show, was then interviewed by Let’s Rundotcom, where she revealed some snippets about her future sponsorships. She said, “I’m pretty sure I have. Nothing special yet, so I’ll just keep that under wraps. But the Lord blessed me with many options, so I am grateful for that. That, either way, how this championship win, I still have something in the belt.” The reporter then asked, “Do you have an agent you’re working with?” Rose answered, “Yeah, I work with Paul”. “Paul Doyle?” was the reporter’s next question. She answered in the affirmative.

Back in January 2024’s issue of Fast Women.com, she had said that she was in amazing form and stronger than in 2023. “I think I’m much stronger than I was last cross season,” she conveyed. “That says a lot because last season, I was surprised with what I was able to produce in cross country, and that correlated well with track season. So this year, I’m expecting much better things.” When she was eight or nine years old, Rose already knew she wanted to run for a living. It might have been a side effect of the family watching track and field races on TV, and her parents also being invested in track during their university days. Rose’s father coached her until she got to college at LSU as a biology major.
Luckily for her, she was not only breaking records but getting the support that her previous generation might not have gotten from the same university. Rose’s generation of NCAA athletes is the first to receive the prospect of financial support from companies in the form of NIL deals, this allows more athletes to stay in the NCAA for a longer time.

Michaela Rose’s sponsorship program with Adidas
Since her university had already given her a head start on financial liberty, there was less to stress about on top of exams and races. Nevertheless, she started her NIL deal with Adidas to save up for her career and to build professional relationships for her future. Being at a Nike school, Rose will get the opportunity to wear Nike products until the time, she competes for LSU and then Adidas at the Olympic Trials. “Adidas has been my favorite brand for as long as I can remember, so just to see it happening, this is a life-changing moment for me,” she said as per the same publication mentioned above.
This signing with Adidas not only displayed her immense talent but also shows Adidas’s recognition of Michaela Rose as a standout athlete destined for greatness. Previously in 2024, social media creator and Olympic Medalist Fitzroy Dunkley posted a video with Rose on his Instagram where she explained how she signed the contract. The caption read, “The NIL game is still new and fans and athletes alike are learning as we go! Here NCAA & SEC Champion Michaela Rose explains part of the process of how she signed with Adidas”.

She said in the interview, “It’s new… That’s why it took a while because my mother, my father, wanted to make sure I capitalised on getting the best possible thing.” Her parents, Michael and Marcia Rose, were also track and field runners at Auburn University under Coach Dennis Shaver, who had been the LSU Track & Field coach since 2004. So naturally, her parents’ advice about her career would be gold.
