On Asia primetime this Friday, April 5, the Thai striker will challenge Jonathan Di Bella for the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship at ONE Friday Fights 58: Superbon vs. Grigorian inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fresh off unifying the strawweight Muay Thai crown at the expense of the same man who beat him for the belt, Joseph Lasiri, this past December at ONE Friday Fights 46, Prajanchai wants fans to know that his shot at two-sport glory will be one to watch out for.
“This fight is going to be entertaining and explosive. Let’s see who makes the first mistake,” he said. Di Bella has compiled a pristine 12-0 record in his professional career, including two World Title bouts in ONE.

Prajanchai credits the Italian-Canadian’s speed and accuracy, but he stopped short of saying it would be the key to victory. “Jonathan Di Bella’s strengths are quick footwork. Plus, his fast and accurate punches. He also has dangerous knee strikes. But on the other hand, he has many weaknesses – but let’s find out on the ring,” he said.

“I’m not worried about his speed at all because I am confident in my speed, as well. So, this fight will be decided by who has more fight IQ.” The Thai powerhouse also noted some of the observations he made during Di Bella’s latest World Title defense – a five-round battle with Australian fireball Danial Williams at ONE Fight Night 15 last October.
Apart from a dominant showcase of offensive skill, Prajanchai saw that Di Bella also displayed an impressive ability to absorb attacks. However, he believes that there’s a distinct difference between what the kickboxing king experienced last time out and what he’ll face this Friday.

“In his fight with Danial, Di Bella showed his toughness when he got leg kicked by Danial. He didn’t show any sign of pain. But that was Danial’s kick, not my kick. I want to know if he’ll still be able to withstand it when I kick him,” he said.
