Tawanchai vs. Superbon Out for ONE Fight Night 17, Gets Re-Booked for ONE Friday Fights 46 in December

Fans will have to wait a little longer to witness the highly anticipated battle between Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Superbon Singha Mawynn, as it was given a new date for the third time this week. The match between two of Thailand’s most impressive strikers, which is still set to be for Tawanchai’s ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title, is now scheduled to take place at ONE Friday Fights 46 on Friday, December 22 – the promotion’s last card of the year – at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Originally slated to headline ONE Fight Night 16 this past Friday, the fight was moved to ONE Fight Night 17 on December 8 after Superbon suffered an injury during training.

Unfortunately, it was reported this week that Tawanchai recently fell victim to a “serious virus” and was recovering in the hospital until his discharge this weekend. Thus, ONE deemed it pertinent to rebook the monumental clash.

Tawanchai vs. Superbon predicted to be a thrilling bout
With that battle and the showdown between Tawanchai and Superbon, the final show of the year at the famed Lumpinee Stadium is likely to be as big as ONE Friday Fights 34 – the card that featured Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Superlek Kiatmoo9 and produced “the highest Muay Thai viewership in history,” according to ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

More high-profile matches are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if viewership records are shattered again by the world’s largest martial arts organization.
