Before the action gets underway in Bangkok, we look at three of the card’s most intriguing matchups. In strawweight kickboxing action, former World Title challenger “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian aims to bounce back from a heartbreaking split decision loss.

That was against Rui Botelho last November at ONE Fight Night 16 when he takes on surging Muay Thai contender Aliff Sor Dechapan. For the 20-year-old Zhang, this will be his opportunity to showcase his explosive, ultra-aggressive style and remind fans why he’s one of the most exciting young stars in all of kickboxing.

Aliff, meanwhile, hopes to extend his pristine 4-0 record at ONE Friday Fights and prove that his show-stopping power translates from Muay Thai to kickboxing.

Jake Peacok vs. Kohei Shinjo

A pair of rising bantamweight Muay Thai stars will make their much-anticipated promotional debuts when Japanese scrapper Kohei Shinjo squares off with limb-different fighter Jake “The One” Peacock.

Both men will be looking to make a statement on the global stage, but for the one-handed Road to ONE: Canada winner Peacock, this bout will be his opportunity to inspire millions around the world. The 30-year-old Canadian has already proven himself to be a ruthless knockout artist, racking up 11 stoppages in 12 career wins, but he’s in for a stiff test against the 34-year-old Shinjo, who possesses a well-rounded and gritty style of striking.

Seksan Or Kwanmuang vs. Yutaro Asahi

After going 8-0 in 2023, Seksan Or Kwanmuang has firmly established himself as perhaps the most electrifying athlete in all of Muay Thai, renowned for his never-say-die attitude and ferocious aggression. Aptly nicknamed “The Man Who Yield To No One,” Seksan looks poised for another banner year of competition, but the Japanese striker comes into the contest riding a winning streak of his own and is undoubtedly ready to play the part of spoiler in enemy territory.
