Chatri Sityodtong has been instrumental in developing ONE Championship into the world’s largest martial arts organization. As a result, respected figures within the industry have begun to take note. Among those are MMA personality and pundit Joe Rogan.

Rogan has repeatedly acknowledged his admiration for ONE and its chairman on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. This week, Sityodtong shared a video montage of Rogan talking about the positive impact of the promotion on social media. Here’s the latest development.

“Joe recently dropped some truth bombs about ONE,” he wrote in the caption. With ONE making its debut on U.S. soil earlier this year, fans in the West could enjoy its product live and in-person. This offered a new take on martial arts action than that of the industry leaders in North America.

In his podcast, Rogan explained what he enjoyed most when watching the show live and free in U.S. Primetime thanks to ONE’s broadcasting deal with Prime Video. “It’s changing the landscape of MMA because it is literally larger than the UFC worldwide because of Asia. The numbers are insane,” Rogan said in the clip.

“What I love about Chatri and what he’s doing with ONE is they’re embracing all the aspects of martial arts. They have Muay Thai with little gloves, they have jiu-jitsu, they have real f*****g elite-level MMA. It’s f*****g great.”

Sityodtong recently came under fire from some western MMA personalities like Jon Jones and Micheal Bisping. The outrage came as a result of his comments where he said that ONE’s fighters are better strikers than those fighting in the UFC. While controversial, his statement is difficult to debunk. An abundance of Muay Thai and kickboxing World Champions call ONE home, and thus, they can compete across the entire slate of disciplines the organization showcases.

Rogan highlights the striking diversity on display at ONE

Whether in MMA or the striking arts, ONE certainly has elite-level fighters in the stand-up game compared to the UFC’s wrestling-heavy roster. In one of the clips in the video shared by Sityodtong, Rogan singled out ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Fabricio Andrade, calling the Brazilian a “f*****g beast” and citing his World Title-winning match with John Lineker as an illustration of why.

Andrade will be in action this Friday, November 3, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16: Haggerty vs. Andrade, where he’ll take on bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty for the division’s vacant kickboxing crown. The high-stakes crossover battle would be impossible to see in any other promotion, and that is another thing that Rogan enjoys about the world’s largest martial arts organization.

“That’s also one of the beautiful things about what they’re doing in ONE – you get to see striking with no grappling. So you get to see the most elite expression,” he said. ONE Fight Night 16 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, November 3. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and is free for all Prime Video subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
