After he was ousted from the Mercedes program, Pascal Wehrlein has finally sealed a drive for 2019. The German driver will be partnering fellow former F1 driver, Jerome D’Ambrosio at Mahindra Racing in Formula E.

The situation is a far cry from 2017 when he said that he cannot see himself in Formula E. But now, here we are in 2019 and attitudes have changed since then. D’Ambrosio and Wehrlein will be joined by Nick Heidfeld, in a third driver role.

The Mahindra team have emerged as strong contenders for wins and even the championship. This was evident in the past 2 seasons as the team put in good performances. In season 4, Mahindra was even leading the championship at a certain stage.
