Completing a Hawaii Slam means winning every event of the PGA Tour from Hawaii. Since Smith has already won the Sony Open in Honolulu, his victory at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Maui this year meant he bagged yet another feat. Moreover, he became only the sixth golfer to do so.
Previously, Justin Thomas, Zach Johnson, Jim Furyk, Ernie Els, and Vijay Singh have completed the PGA Tour’s Hawaii Slam. Notably, Justin Thomas and Ernie Els are the only golfers to achieve this milestone in one season. JT did it in 2017, while Ernie Els did the same back in 2003.
