‘I Love It’: Brooks Koepka Names the Best Drivable Par-4 on the PGA Tour

The 2022 WM Phoenix Open is currently underway at the TPC Scottsdale. And after 36-holes, Sahith Theegala leads the event with a score of -12. Moreover, the defending champion, Brooks Koepka, continued his excellent performance at this event. He currently shares the second spot with Xander Schauffele. Both these players have carded -10 for the event so far.
Post his round, Brooks Koepka talked about what he thinks is the best drivable par-4 hole in the PGA Tour. Here’s what he had to say.

Brooks Koepka reveals the best drivable par-4 hole on the PGA Tour
After an impressive round two, Brooks Koepka gave a post-round interview. There, a reporter asked him about the difficulties of the drivable par-4 17th hole. “It’s the best drivable par-4 on Tour,” said Brooks. Moreover, he said, even though players make double bogey on this hole, it’s not a problem.

“You put it — if you don’t put it in the correct spot, you’re going to be in a lot of trouble,” revealed Brooks. “It can be very difficult. I know, I mean, I didn’t hit a good tee shot, and that chip is still tough short of the green to any of those back pins. Anything on the left side is difficult enough, and the ball seems to always run away.”

Furthermore, Brooks said even if one bails out off the tee shot, the approach shot is not the easiest on this hole. It can easily go downhill running towards the water. And hence, the defending champion Koepka says he is a huge fan of this hole. “I’m a big fan of that hole. I love it,” concluded Brooks.
Meanwhile, Brooks will now tee off his round three with Theegala and Schauffele. And undoubtedly, he will be hopeful of performing well and retaining the trophy.
