Twitter User Shares an Emotional Post Thanking Rory McIlroy for Bookending Her Pup’s Life

Rory McIlroy is a 20-time winner on the PGA Tour. The statement does have a nice ring to it, considering the amount of talent McIlroy has up his sleeve. Over the years, the Northern Irishman has garnered a spectacular fan following for himself owing to his performances. A lot of his fans often give their pets McIlroy’s namesake as a tribute to the golfer.
Twitter user Deirdre Graham is one such massive Rory McIlroy fan who named her pet after the golfer. However, Graham’s story is incredibly special, considering how she found her pup and the moments that coincided with it.
Deirdre Graham posted a tweet a few hours after McIlroy seized his 20th tour win at The CJ Cup. Her tweet contained a lot of emotions and one can absolutely feel it while going through the tweet. Here’s what she posted:

It might just be a coincidence, but it really is special. They found the pup in 2011 after Rory McIlroy won his first major, and had to put him to rest the day the golfer won his 20th title. What a journey it has been for Rory – the golfer and the pup!
Has Rory McIlroy gained lifetime exemption on the PGA Tour?

Technically, yes. The eligibility criteria for the PGA Tour’s lifetime exemption are as follows – win 20 tour events and play 15 seasons on the tour. McIlroy has achieved the former, but he is yet to complete 15 years on the PGA Tour.
However, that will be accomplished in a matter of a few more years. So, the bottom line is that Rory McIlroy will obtain a lifetime exemption on the PGA Tour once he’s done with 15 years of experience on the tour.
