The 2019 F1 season has begun quite decently for the Dutchman. But having said that, what about Frenchman Pierre Gasly?
It’s pretty interesting and polarising at the same time to note that while on the one hand, Max Verstappen has been going on just fine, his teammate, Pierre Gasly, has been struggling as seen thus far.
Where the 2019 Australian Grand Prix stood, Gasly failed to score any points. At the same time, Max Verstappen bagged a fighting third, finishing ahead of the Ferrari of Sebastian Vettel.

Now, about to enter the 2019 Bahrain GP, Pierre Gasly, Red Bull’s new recruit, is again disappointed. And the reason for his disappointment is pretty obvious. Well, it makes no one an F1 Einstein to note that of the 2 Red Bulls, only the one belonging to Max Verstappen was able to score something valuable in the final run.

What can Gasly manage on race-day from P13? (Motorsport Week)
And what about the Red Bull with Pierre Gasly?
For now, he starts his race behind the Toro Rosso of new driver Alex Albon. Not too happy a sight that, right?
Well, for the 2019 Bahrain GP, Pierre Gasly begins from P13. Thirteenth, therefore meant that not only will Pierre Gasly find it really hard to break into top-10 but also that this takes away his chance to attack those ahead right from the word ‘go!’

That said, it’s not too hard to understand why Pierre Gasly has expressed criticism of his car and team. Here is what the Frenchman had to say.
For starters, Gasly shared, “I can’t drive an unpredictable Red Bull car how I want!”
His struggles in qualifying haven’t so far been sorted and even at the season-opening event at Melbourne’s Albert Park, did Gasly struggle.

He would go on to add, “Since the beginning of the weekend, we kind of struggled. I don’t really feel comfortable, especially with the rear.”
The above told, what might happen to Pierre Gasly on race-day; what are his chances of securing a decent finish at Sakhir?
