Rafael Nadal Makes a Staggering Finish at the Balearic Golf Championship

Late October 2020 is the perfect time for golfers in Spain. But the ones in Llucmajor – Mallorca were in for a special treat. Tennis great and native fellow Rafael Nadal took part in the Balearic Golf Championship, and out of 60 contestants, he finished sixth (tied).

One might look at this as an incredible achievement for the 34-year-old Spaniard. However, what makes it even crazier is his record 13th win at the Roland-Garros that came just earlier this month by stomping over World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2, 7-5.

Rafael Nadal And His Love for Golf

Rafael Nadal was seventh at the end of the week.

World No. 2 in tennis, Nadal has always been at the peak of the optimum performance, be it in tennis or in golf. And the success he has achieved only justifies his foothold in maintaining control and discipline.

The Balearic Golf Championship had 60 contestants involved in which 23 were professionals. Nadal ranked 10 on the first day and move up to seventh by the end of the weekend.

The winner of 86 career tennis titles looked in harmony with his game but had his hunt set on decreasing the gap.

Nadal takes the Sixth Position at the Balearic Golf Championship

When the curtains fell on the Spanish Island of Mallorca, the applause began for all the players at the Balearic Golf Championship. Considering his performance, it might be possible that the Spanish will embark to become the ‘King of Clubs’ after he retires from tennis.

The Spanish professional is all set to appear in the Rolex Paris Masters 2020 starting at the end of this month. But today, he takes with him a stroke full of contentment. As at the end of the Balearic Golf Championship tournament, he took a convincing position at Number sixth, while he was fifth just until the last hole.
