The Indian cricket team took on arch-rivals, Pakistan in a much-hyped game on the 16th of June. Ahead of the game, Bollywood star, Ranveer Singh turned up to watch the game and even gatecrashed the Hindi commentary booth.

Singh was in London as he was working on his next big project, a sports drama movie called, ’83. The movie is said to be a dramatisation of the 1983 ICC Cricket World Cup, the scene of India’s maiden World Cup triumph. Singh will be playing a leading role in the movie and will be portraying former India captain, Kapil Dev. The movie is set to release in 2020 by the 10th of April.

Coming back to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the Indian team comfortably took victory over Pakistan by 89 runs, courtesy D/L method. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh had a blast with the current India stars, and even met with a few former stars.

However, Singh landed himself in trouble when he tweeted a picture of himself with Indian allrounder Hardik Pandya. The issue mostly stemmed from Singh’s caption rather than the player himself, who has been subject to controversy before.

Unfortunately for Singh, Heyman is also Lesnar’s advocate, hopefully for his sake, he does not land into any further trouble. Meanwhile, the Indian team are on a high after thrashing Pakistan. Their next opponents will be Afghanistan on Saturday, 22nd June, which should in theory be an easy match.

However, if the Bangladesh vs West Indies ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 game is anything to go by, we can never say never.
