Red Bull Tease Dutch Grand Prix in 2020

It is no secret that several venues are being considered to join the Formula One calendar. The Netherlands is one of those venues, though a proper circuit is yet to be decided. Now, the Aston Martin Red Bull team have teased fans with the idea of a Dutch GP.

As of now, there are only two venues in the country that cater to motorsport, namely the Circuit Zandvoort and the TT Circuit Assen. Zandvoort is the only one with Formula One experience. Having said that, if the Dutch GP were to return, Zandvoort is the likeliest candidate to host a race. This is because, the TT Assen Circuit mostly caters to World Superbike and MotoGP.

Coming back to Red Bull, their tweet read, “Hands up if you’d like to see Max Verstappen get a home grand prix!?”

So far the closest, Red Bull driver, Verstappen has had to a home GP, is the Belgian GP. This is because he is half Belgian on his mother’s side of the family, though he is of Dutch nationality.

His father, Jos Verstappen has never had a home grand prix, and having one is extra special with the majority of fans on your side. Even Red Bull have their own home race, in Austria.
