It looks like the Federer name will live on in the sporting world. Roger Federer is nearing 40 and his retirement is an inevitable event but another Federer could take up the center stage. Although not in tennis, his son Leo Federer could become a future star in Skiing.

In a biography of Federer written by Swiss journalist Simon Graf, Graf has written excerpts suggesting Leo who is six right now, could follow his father’s sporting legacy.

The Federer family has been highly encouraged by Leo’s progress as he has been winning Ski races consistently. As the family lives in Valbella which is a prominent place for skiing, Leo has been doing very well there. Skiing is a general trend in Switzerland and Federer himself likes skiing a lot.

Federer and his wife Mirka Federer have two sets of twins. He has two 11-year-old daughters, Myra and Charlene. Then he has two six-year-old sons, Leo and Lennart. Although all of them go to a skiing school, Leo impressed the most.

Last year in an interview, Federer revealed that only one out of his four children are interested in tennis. Although the player wants them to play tennis, he admits that he will support them in whichever direction they go in. And with Federer being a great admirer of skiing he won’t mind his son making great strides in that sport.
