Back in 2019, Roger Federer had invested in a sneaker company called On. And in July of this year, he released his first sneaker with them – The Roger Federer Centre Court. Now, he has just created another shoe series with the brand and this one’s called the Roger Federer Clubhouse.

This one has golden details and high contrast black seam. The new range of shoes will release next year. However, a limited edition will be available for fans to purchase this year. Considering the Swiss maestro’s popularity around the world, there are going to be a lot of people who will rush to buy them.

The Swiss superstar is clearly working extensively with ‘On’ and that raises a very big question – is he going to wear their shoes on court? So far, Roger has been wearing Nike shoes even though his contract ended with them back in 2018. Regarding whether he will switch to On, he said,

The thing about performance shoes: it’s got to fit absolutely perfectly. I do believe that probably one day I will play with an On tennis shoe. That’s got to be the goal, I believe. If it’s still going to be while I’m still active or not? We’ll have to see if we’re going to make it in time.”

Clearly, Federer does not know when he is going to be able to wear the new shoes. He is definitely working on it, and if all goes well, we might see him wear them at the 2021 Australian Open.

After two knee surgeries that ruled him out of the 2020 season, the Swiss maestro has confirmed his participation at the first Major of 2021. It will be his first event since this year’s edition and hopefully, we will see a fit and in-form Roger in January.
