Roy Keane predicts United’s title chances

The former Manchester United icon spoke about United’s title chances after the arrival of Ronaldo.

“He wanted to come to Man United. He wanted to win stuff. We have seen that throughout his career. Real Madrid. Juventus. What he is done with obviously his national team. The guy’s selfish. He is greedy. Obviously, we put him up there with Messi. These guys, they are winners, they are born-winners, and they don’t want to relax.”

“But the bigger picture for Man United. I still don’t think for one second that Man United are going to win the league title,” said Keane.

The mentality of Ronaldo is there for everyone to see. For the past decade or so, Ronaldo and Messi have enthralled football fans all over the world with their incredible performances. Despite leaving their clubs, the quality that they possess is outstanding. But Roy Keane has his doubts on the matter.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has slowly and steadily made a squad that is capable of becoming a force in Europe.

After signing Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho in the current window, adding Ronaldo would mean the world for United. However, there seems to be a glaring problem. The midfield remains the weak link for the Red Devils. Fred and McTominay are not good enough to lead United to another title. Their need for a defensive midfielder is clear for anyone to see.

Like the great SAF once said: “Attack wins you games, defense wins you titles.”
