Disaster has stuck for Ferrari. Competing for a potential 1-2 and struggling to decide who were to take the lead between Vettel and Leclerc, all hell has gone loose for Ferrari. They pitted Sebastian Vettel and as soon as he came out reported a broke MGU-K and had to retire.

The position of his car wasn’t safe and hence a Virtual Safety Car was called in. It played well in the hands of Lewis Hamilton who pitted and came out ahead of Charles Leclerc! Well played Mercedes.

Earlier, there was a ton of controversy between the Ferrari duo since Sebastian Vettel took over the lead on Turn 2 of the race. Leclerc was furious and was given the chance to undercut Vettel. Vettel, despite complaining severely on his radio about the state of his tires, was only brought in very late and could only manage to come behind Charles Leclerc. While fans were hoping for a good race after that, Vettel very soon retired from the race, confirming that bad luck hasn’t left him yet.

Immediately after retiring due to the MGU-K issue, Vettel said on the radio, “Bring back the V12s.” Frustrating, indeed.
