The Scuderia Ferrari team had a poor showing in Australia as even Red Bull were quicker. It was a far cry from the pace they showed in pre-season testing and when hopes were high. However, the team and Sebastian Vettel were in for a rude shock when Mercedes dominated once again. Naturally, morale would start to dip at a time like this but Ferrari are doing their best to stay positive.

Even the drivers were doing their bit to pacify the disappointed Tifosi who hoped for a Ferrari win. Sebastian Vettel spent Friday afternoon working in Maranello for the fans. The German had initially arrived at Maranello for a series of meetings with the engineers.

Later, he stayed back for an autograph session for the fans. The four-time world champion, spent the remainder of his day signing memorabilia that various Scuderia Ferrari Clubs had sent in for this very purpose.

As it turned out, the gesture was part of a promise made by Ferrari and Vettel to the fans. Many were unable to get their merchandise signed when the SF90 first broke cover. There was supposed to be a meet and greet following the launch but it never happened. So Seb – of his own accord – offered afterwards to sign items sent in.

Sebastian Vettel has always been known to have a big heart especially when it came to the fans. In fact, last year, he had received a hand-written letter from a fan and even wrote one back along with some Ferrari memorabilia.
