Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog Makes His Way to Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is perhaps the most peculiar game to join the roster of games that shot to fame this year. The current pandemic situation has got a majority of the population locked up in their homes with nothing but videogames to keep them company. Fall Guys has been quite successful in swiftly building up a player base majorly because of its unique take on the Battle Royale genre. Recently, Mediatonic announced something exciting for the fans of the game as well as the fans of the classic game developer Sega.

Mediatonic, the developers that brought us FG: Ultimate Knockout, did a special stream along with Sega to celebrate the latter’s 60-year anniversary. On that stream, Mediatonic announced that they will introduce a Sonic the Hedgehog themed skin in the game. Trusted sources had previously leaked this news already, so it was not much of a surprise to the community.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will be getting a Sonic themed skin as a part of Sega’s 60-year anniversary

Mediatonic kept the original color scheme of the character intact. However, they morphed it to look like the usual jelly-bean shaped FG characters. The Sonic skin features the trademark blue fur coat with spikes, along with white hand gloves, and red shoes. Although, they changed the face so that the skin is in accordance with the staple characters available in the game.

From what we know as of now, this skin will be available in the game starting October 14. Once in the game, players can equip this skin for 10 crowns. However, it is not clear whether it will be in the game for a limited period of time. After all, it is all part of the 60-year anniversary celebration of Sega.
