We aren’t even halfway through the 2021 season, and teams have already started working on their 2022 cars. One team, in particular, Red Bull, have been working harder than ever to make sure they hit the ground running once the new regulations set in.

Teams are already spending time and resources to develop next year’s car. Red Bull’s development driver Alex Albon has been doing the sim work for the car and is pleased with how well the car is performing.

Tom Clarkson spoke to the Thai driver over the Goodwood event, and said, “Alex Albon was at Goodwood at the weekend, and he was saying he was doing a lot of sim work with the 2022 car and says it’s great to drive, the car is really nice to drive.
“It’s not as quick, not just quick as what we’ve got now. But it’s got a really nice feel to it. So the combination of what Alex said to me at the weekend and seeing the car on Thursday – very excited. I am sure we will see Adrian Newey out there as well,” he concluded.
Adrian Newey has been working harder than ever
Speaking on the podcast, F1 Nation, Clarkson said, “Someone close to Adrian Newey, I am not gonna mention their name, said, ‘je is working harder now, than maybe he has ever worked.’

Damon Hill, who worked alongside him at Williams, added, “Necessarily loves to win, he is a competitor. Adrian is a incredibly, intensely driven designer. He is just not a designer, he wants to win and he wants to be in a racing team doesn’t like been shown up. If he smells victory then he will work very hard.
“He has been going for a quite a long time now, he is racking up the championships. I don’t know but he is still motivated as ever.”
