Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic needs no introduction, as he is one of the best in the sport. After being the most dominant player in recent years, the Serb has begun threatening the records set by the two legends of the game, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
Recently, Novak Djokovic overtook his arch-rival, Roger Federer, in having held the World No. 1 ranking for the longest period. The Swiss ace held the top spot for 310 weeks, and the Serb surpassed that earlier this month. Given the manner in which Djokovic has been playing, he seems certain to hold his spot for a considerable amount of time.
Goran Ivanisevic: “If Novak Djokovic is healthy, then we’ll see what’s going to happen”

Djokovic’s coach, Goran Ivanisevic, revealed how the Serb can maintain his current place in the rankings and stated, “If he’s healthy, if his mind is clear like he was in Australia and he knows what he wants to do, the sky is the limit. Like I said before Steffi Graf, 372, you know… anything is possible. Most important is if he’s healthy then we’ll see what’s going to happen.”

Djokovic started his current season on a high note, winning the Australian Open. It was his ninth title in Melbourne and he took his Grand Slam tally to 18 titles. He played the entire tournament with a muscle tear on the right side of his abdomen.
