Just one more win and we will have a World Cup trophy, the only one he hasn’t won yet. However, his million is not only from soccer but from the investments he had made. In October Messi went to Silicon Valley to announce his investment firm based in San Francisco.

Lionel Messi isn’t the first celebrity to start investing in Silicon Valley. NBA stars have been vocal for years about their investments. Serena Williams and Kevin Hart also announced their firms in October 2022.

Lionel Messi announced his investment firm

Lionel Messi announced his Sport-Tech firm named Play Time aimed to invest in Sports, Media, and Tech startups and will be based in san Francisco.

While talking about the firm, Messi released a statement in which he said, “I am excited to extend our roots into Silicon Valley, and I am thrilled that Play Time will collaborate with daring entrepreneurs from all over the world.

Messi is worth $600 million

Lionel Messi has a long career and a significant chunk of his earnings came from his salary at his former club Barcelona. Messi had spent 17 years with Barcelona appearing in 520 matches, winning 11 La Liga and 4 Champions League trophies. When Barcelona renewed his contract in 2017, his annual base salary was $168 million. which is just insane.

Lionel Messi also has a lifetime deal with Adidas and had endorsed brands like Budweiser, Mastercard, and Gatorade. He makes around $30-40 million annually from these brand endorsements and now he will be an investor.
