Al Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo are experiencing a triumphant season with nine consecutive victories in all competitions. The Riyadh-based club emerged as a formidable attacking force and established a strong position in the Saudi Pro League. Meanwhile, just days before facing Al Nassr, their rivals dismissed their coach, the former manager of Poland’s national team.

Al Alami is preparing for their next AFC Champions League group stage game against Istiklol. Hours prior to the match, Ronaldo’s side faced a significant setback, as their newest signing is uncertain to play in the game. However, Al Nassr aims to continue their winning streak in the AFC CL and also maintain the momentum when they continue their season in the Saudi Pro League.

Abha Club terminated the contract of their 53-year-old coach, Czeslaw Michniewicz after just eight games into the league. The Saudi side is undergoing a terrible season with just two wins in SPL and six defeats. Abha’s Polish manager couldn’t change the fortunes as the club remains in the relegation spot on the league table. As a result, this led to the coach’s departure with immediate effect.

Michniewicz previously served as Poland’s national team coach and remarkably led them into the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1986. However, the Polish association did not renew his contract following the team’s inability to advance beyond that. Now, Czeslaw Michniewicz’s managerial strategies failed to make an impact on the Abha Club, resulting in his early exit from Arabian soil.

However, their latest signing, Otavio will sit out of the match due to a potential injury. The Portuguese midfielder played a pivotal role in Al Alami’s recent success.
