Recently, Sporting Lisbon, Cristiano Ronaldo’s former club, unveiled their new third kit for the 2023/24 season as a tribute to the forward’s 20 years at Estadio Jose Alvalade. The kit featured the CR7 brand instead of the Nike logo, honoring the player who had graced the club’s jersey.

Remarkably, within 40 days of sales, the CR7-branded jersey shattered all previous Sporting Lisbon kit sales records. According to Record, it accounts for an astounding 64% of the volume of jersey sales. It represents 42% of the turnover since the start of the 2023/24 season. To put this into perspective, the CR7 jersey alone has already generated over $2.3 million in revenue for Sporting Lisbon.
