Saudi side Al Hilal has suffered a massive setback just weeks before their game against Al Nassr. While the table toppers have been in great form this season, facing the Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr in the absence of their star players could be a tough ask. The team is already lacking the services of Neymar Jr who has been ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing his MCL. To add salt to their wounds, another Al-Hilal star could miss up to six weeks owing to injury.

Both Al Hilal and Al Nassr have been in dominant form this season. The two sides have maintained their spot in the top half of the table, with the winner in their clash likely to take the first place. The game could have massive ramifications on the points table and the absence of their key players could be a big hit for the Saudi side.

Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal have received a rough blow from their medical team as star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been ruled out for the entirety of November following initial scans. The midfield took a knock against Al Fateh in his last outing. While Al Hilal is yet to issue an official statement, reports state that the player could miss four weeks of game time.

This is an enormous blow for the side, as Savic was named the player of the league last month for his exceptional performance. The player, in the absence of Neymar, has emerged as a key player for the team. However, pulling the Serbian out of the game could expose the team’s midfield in the coming games.

According to News Now 4 Sports, the player has been confirmed to be out of the field for at least nearly four weeks: “Savic is confirmed to be out for up to 4 weeks.”

Additional reports state that the Serbian star suffered a knee injury, most likely a cartilage injury. The player is expected to undergo physical therapy and a rehabilitation program in the coming weeks. This is an enormous loss for Al-Hilal as the side is set to face Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al Nassr in a high-voltage encounter on the 31st of November.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr look to overtake Al Hilal

The last day of the month will see Saudi Pro League heavyweights Al Nassr take on Al Hilal. Both teams have been in exceptional form in the tournament occupying top places in the points table. Al Hilal, who will play the game at home, is currently at the top of the table with 32 points to their name in 12 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his side, meanwhile, are just 4 points behind the table toppers. The Portuguese has been in top shape so far in the tournament scoring 12 goals for the side. Al Nassr is currently placed second on the table with 28 points from 12 games. This could be an enormous opportunity for Al Nassr to get a move for their opposition with a string of their players unavailable due to injury.
