Montserrat could not accept the fact that Shakira was Colombian and not Catalan. Also, she didn’t really fancy the age difference between Pique and his ever-famous girlfriend.

The soccer veteran’s mother also reportedly helped Pique hide his new relationship from everyone else. During their initial days, the FC Barcelona legend used to shockingly meet Clara Chia Marti at his mother’s place. That revelation caused a lot of sourness to remain between Shakira and her mother-in-law. She replied to Montserrat’s cruelty with the black witch gesture on her balcony.

Months ago, the Waka–Waka singer’s father suffered a major health setback. William Mebarak was not healing quickly enough from the head trauma he suffered from a fall in 2022. To quicken his recovery period, he was about to undergo surgery. However, the doctors had to postpone the surgery plan after another health complication. Shakira then figured that getting her father airlifted to America for treatment was the best option.

Apart from that, the former celebrity couple might be heading for a family reunion! Milan and Sasha will be ending their academic year on June 2. The next day, they will have their graduation party at school. While Shakira is a definite attendee for the party, the jury is still out there on whether Pique will turn up for the party or not.

The soccer veteran is anyways expected to fly to America around that time in order to take the kids back to Barcelona for their summer vacation.
