The stadium of English Premier League soccer giants Tottenham Hotspur is a state-of-the-art facility. Apart from soccer matches, it is home to concerts and other sporting events. But, the upcoming Beyonce concert has caught the club in a muddle after they reportedly breached the stadium license. Under current planning agreements, the Tottenham Hotspur stadium can only have six concerts, per year. With the five-day concert, they have breached the stadium license agreement.

After selling out for four days, the organizers planned a fifth day as it caused a problem for upcoming shows. Moreover, the famous rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers and prominent singer Wizkid are scheduled for July 21 and 29th, respectively. 

Tottenham Hotspur stadium breaches license

After they fulfilled the quota for 2023, the extra day cluttered up the club’s plans. The stadium authorities should now submit another application to the local council to conduct the fifth day of the concert. Moreover, the organizers have sold out most of the tickets. Therefore, the organizers need to figure out ways to get the show back on track.

The cabinet member for planning at Haringey Council, Dana Carlin, expressed her disappointment on the matter. According to BBC, she commented, “Welcoming global superstars, like Beyoncé, will attract thousands of music fans and benefits our local businesses. We are disappointed that we have got to this stage.”
