The fans have always respected Ryan Reynolds for his incredible contribution to soccer. The Deadpool star raised a few eyebrows after he took over a soccer club back in 2020. Reynolds visibly took Wrexham AFC seriously since day one. The American actor has pumped unbelievable amounts of money into the club since taking over. Wrexham AFC is still undergoing a massive revamp to many of its facilities.

Recently, the club announced that its new gym facility is finally ready. Reynolds posted a ‘before-after’ reel of the club’s gym space.

Reynolds showcases Wrexham AFC’s gym’s shocking transformation!

Wrexham AFC currently plays soccer in the Vanarama National League. It’s safe to say that many of its facilities are now better than the clubs around them in the division. Ryan Reynolds recently posted a reel with a ‘before-after’ transition on his Instagram. The fans were simply stunned to see the entire revamp. The video begins with Wrexham co-owner, Rob McElhenney surprisingly saying, “Is that the gym?”.

Wrexham AFC’s previous gym didn’t look too appealing for the cameras as well. However, the celebrity duo has totally transformed the club’s gym facility. On his Instagram post, the Deadpool star additionally wrote, “I’ve trained with @donsaladino and @lifefitnessofficial for 14 years. The gym at the Racecourse Ground was one of the saddest places on earth”.

Reynolds openly criticized the club’s previous gym facilities. He said, “It’s where happiness and hope went to die. But @lifefitnessofficial came in and COMPLETELY transformed the place into a state-of-the-art training facility. Now every single player on @wrexham_afc can beat the living sh*t out of me. Even @elliotlee9”. The fans then got a see tiny snippets of the Wrexham AFC players training at the new gym.

This gym will now give Reynolds’ players a definite edge over the other teams in the competition. Fitness is one of the most important parts of a soccer player’s life. Recently, Joe Rogan was surprised after noticing how fit soccer players actually are. However, this is not the only contribution that Reynolds has made to the club.

The Hollywood star has provided Wrexham AFC with quite a decent chunk of global recognition. The Welsh soccer side has garnered quite a few loyal fans equally spread across the world. For Wrexham’s recent game against Sheffield United, Reynolds managed to bring ESPN on board to improve the broadcasting quality of the game. Normally, an FA cup fourth-round match would get close to no coverage on television.

However, due to Reynolds, Wrexham AFC is cracking some good broadcasting deals as well. Recently, fans were ecstatic after they got to know that Wrexham’s game against the Blades was the most followed game on ESPN’s digital platforms in America. This stat definitely proves that Wrexham AFC has gradually built a substantial portion of its fanbase in America.
