Television personality Gustavo Hoffman was present on ESPN last night during their recap show. Talking to host Tim Vickery, Hoffman stated that the Brazil Football Federation might have a verbal agreement with Carlo Ancelotti over the head coach position.
According to Hoffman, “The info that we have from inside CBF is that the Brazilian Football Confederation has the yes from Carlo Ancelotti. He will be the manager after the European season. Between Carlo Ancelotti and CBF, there are just words. There is nothing signed, CBF really expects and believes Carlo Ancelotti will be the manager. That’s why they don’t think about changing Fernando Diniz.”
It will be interesting to see if Ancelotti decides to leave Real Madrid, to pursue the job with the Brazilian national team. While there are many uncertainties, Ancelotti’s appointment will surely benefit the Selecao.
