Piers Morgan has become a household name to all soccer fans after he interviewed Cristiano Ronaldo last November. Morgan is an ardent Arsenal fan. Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand recently mocked Morgan on Twitter after a game between Arsenal and Manchester United.
Morgan and Ferdinand were involved in a war of words over Twitter after Arsenal beat United 3-2. The British Broadcaster, who supports Arsenal, is very active on social media and has been involved with many athletes and soccer stars in the Messi-Ronaldo debate since the interview.

A former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo mocks Piers Morgan
Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for the United forward Marcus Rashford, who is in the form of his life. Rashford banged in an opener from outside the box, giving the United lead over Arsenal in the Premier League game. He shared a tweet of his views on Rashford’s goal and the war of words between Morgan and Ferdinand started.
In reply to his tweet, Ferdinand tagged Morgan saying, “I’ve been seeing ur posts!”. Morgan quickly replied to the tweet claiming United players are snowflakes and Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey bullied them. However, the United legend didn’t hold back and mocked Morgan by sharing the clip of Rashford’s goal in response.

The clip shows Rashford nutmegging Partey before scoring a banger. Ferdinand tweeted, “Close ya legs!” mocking Morgan, who was praising the midfielder in the previous tweet. Ferdinand may have won the Twitter battle with Morgan, but the British Broadcaster had a last laugh as Arsenal went on to win the game.
After the explosive interview with Ronaldo, where the soccer star mocked the club, legends, youngsters at the club, and manager, Morgan hasn’t been on good terms with United legends and fans. Meanwhile, Morgan’s favorite club won the game and extended their lead to five points at the top.

United traveled to the Emirates on Sunday to take on the Gunners in an important game. United was eight points behind the Londoners, and a win could have taken them five points closer to them. However, the Gunners emerged winners and maintained their unbeaten streak in the last 13 Premier League games.
A brace from Eddie Nketiah (24′ and 90′) and a goal from Bukayo Saka (53′) gave the gunners victory. With the win, the Gunners are five points clear at the top from second-placed Manchester City and t11 points clear from third-placed Newcastle United. Mikel Arteta’s side is on a brilliant run in the league and is chasing the league title. It will be the first title after the 2003-04 season if they manage to win the league.
