While other sides are making big moves in the transfer window, so far for Wrexham, the squad remains the same. They may have been linked to several players, but nothing has materialized so far. Recently, the 55-year-old spoke about the clubs’ progress and the plans for new signings.

“We get linked with a lot of players. Some have got an element of truth in, some haven’t got any at all. We are working hard behind the scenes to add quality and we are looking at several options but like I have stressed before, we won’t be making signings just for the sake of it, and just to say we have completed a signing,” he said, as stated by the Leader.

The gaffer insists the team doesn’t need any major signings as they already have a decent squad. However, he did reveal that a few fresh faces can come to the Racecourse Ground. “A couple of players we want, we have spoken to the clubs where they are under contract,” he added.  Parkinson, who will welcome his players next week, revealed it won’t be easy or straightforward to sign players.

However, he adds that the team will be willing to wait for the signings. If they even fail to get any deals, then they are more than happy to play with the current squad. Either way, let’s see how they are able to sign the players. Speaking of transfers, the Red’s recently got linked with a former Manchester United player.

Wrexham linked with former Manchester United star

The media has been speculating about several players potentially joining Wrexham. And now another player has emerged on their radar. This time, it is former Manchester United forward Nick Powell. The player earned fame for his versatility as both a midfielder and a striker. Currently, he plays for Championship side Stoke City.

Various clubs are looking to sign with the attacker, including Wrexham. According to Transfermarkt, Powell’s current market value is around $980,000. However, with his contract expiring on June 30, 2023, he will become a free agent. This presents an enticing opportunity for Reynolds’s side to secure his services and potentially pair him up with Paul Mullin.
