Ronaldo is preparing for the next game against Damac, who is in seventh place at the table. Al Nassr is in second place behind Al Ittihad with a game in hand and can go to the top of the table with a win. They will bank on their record, signing for a triumph. Meanwhile, the Portuguese icon has shared a nostalgic picture from 2001 amidst his preparation for the Saudi club’s next game.

Cristiano Ronaldo reminisces about the past

It’s common for anyone to visit down memory lane and think about how it all started. Ronaldo is no exception to that. He recently shared a pic from his youth days with Portugal’s U-15 national team with a two-word response, “Time Flies.” 

The former Real Madrid superstar made his debut for the Portuguese U-15 team in 2001 and hasn’t taken a step back since then. Only after two years, in 2003, the Portuguese legend made his senior debut against Kazakhstan in August 2003. Moreover, he came on as a substitute for iconic Luis Figo, whose number seven jersey he donned after the legend’s retirement.

Ronaldo’s 2022-23 season didn’t start well. He missed his pre-season preparations with Manchester United. After the club didn’t make it to the Champions League in the previous season, he asked for a move away but didn’t get it. He came back to the United and soon found himself on the bench more often than playing.

He stormed out of Old Trafford once in frustration before the game ended and was punished for his behavior. But his explosive interview with Piers Morgan changed everything. United agreed to contract mutual termination with the Portuguese star. The five-time Champions League winner had a forgettable World Cup and finally announced his intentions as he completed a blockbuster move to Al Nassr.
