Inter Miami owner David Beckham is a known philanthropist. The soccer star has done inspiring work for children across the land with his partnership with UNICEF. The former Manchester United star is on a three-day tour of India to help children. As a part of his tour, fans saw Beckham in Gujarat meeting schoolkids around the state. However, despite his work, it seems like the former soccer took his time to enjoy a game of cricket alongside some children.

It was earlier reported that the Englishman was planning to attend the Cricket World Cup semi-finals between India and New Zealand in Mumbai. However, it seems like the rumored appearance might not be happening.

Indian soccer fans were sent into a frenzy as Inter Miami owner David Beckham landed in the country. The player is currently on a three-day tour as a part of his partnership with UNICEF. Now, while Beckham made his name as a soccer star, that did not stop the Englishman from enjoying a game of cricket.

Amidst his tour, David Beckham posted a series of images on his Instagram account, in which we saw him playing cricket with an assembly of children.

Beckham comments on his tour of India

David Beckham has been a brand ambassador for UNICEF for eighteen years. Over the years, the player has done this through his different initiatives alongside the organization to help children. Therefore, he discussed the opportunity.

The player thanked UNICEF for the incredible opportunity to work for the children in the country. In his Instagram post, Beckham wrote, “An incredibly special few days with @unicef here in Gujarat 🇮🇳 It’s a great privilege to see first-hand the work Unicef is doing on the ground to support children and their families.”

He added, “The energy and innovation I have seen here has been so inspiring and I loved hearing the children’s stories and their hopes and dreams for the future. When we empower young people, we see the change they can bring to their communities. @unicefindia.”

Since his partnership with the organization, Beckham has founded over seven trust funds. The player hopes that he can make the world a better place for children across the planet. While Indian fans would have loved to see the soccer star attend their marquee World Cup event, it seems like the Inter Miami owner is happy spending time with children in need.
