David Beckham’s Son Follows His Father’s Footsteps as He Joins England’s $300 Million Worth Soccer Club After Spending Time With Arsenal

David Beckham was one of the best players in the history of soccer. He played for some of the biggest teams in the world and made his name in the US as well. He is currently the owner of the MLS franchise Inter Miami, which started playing in 2020. Now Beckham’s son Romeo is also making huge strides in his soccer career.

Romeo Beckham started his soccer career early in his childhood for obvious reasons. He also had a stint with Arsenal in 2014 and spent a season with their youth side.

After Arsenal, Romeo took a five-year break and restarted his career with Inter Miami in 2020. Now, he will play for Premier League side Brentford’s B team.

Romeo Beckham, son of David Beckham joins Brentford on loan

Romeo has been with Inter Miami since 2021 and recently played in the MLS Next Pro league. He played for Inter Miami II and made 20 appearances in the 2022 season. However, his impressive performances were spotted by Brentford, who decided to take him on loan for the remainder of this season.

“We’ve been absolutely delighted with Romeo since he arrived with us,” Brentford B coach Neil MacFarlane said. “He came to us from Inter Miami with the aim of working with us during their close season. Romeo has applied himself unbelievably well, he’s really bought into the culture and the group which he has become a big part of.”

Neil continued: “I love his standards and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch. He’s been able to get fitter and fitter during his time with us and it leaves him in a good place to now step forward having joined us on loan.”

Last year in MLS Next Pro, Romeo scored a total of 2 goals and bagged 10 assists. It is impressive considering Romeo took a 5-year break from soccer. To make a comeback at the age of 18 and then go on to sign with a Premier League’s youth side is nothing short of impressive.

Romeo’s development will now be followed globally as he joins Brentford B. It’ll be interesting to see how he progresses to the ranks of Brentford and manages to get a long deal with the PL side.
