Cristiano Ronaldo put on a masterclass in his latest outing against Al Ittihad! The Al Nassr skipper led the charge from the front as he bagged two goals to his name, with Al Nassr registering a dominant 5-2 win over the defending champions. Now, with this win, Al Nassr has closed its gap with Al Hilal to seven points, and ‘CR7’ stands as the leading scorer of the league with 19 goals to his name!

After the game, Ronaldo took to Instagram to praise his team. “Important win. We’re not stopping,” he wrote. His post caught David De Gea’s attention- Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate, who was equally impressed. He commented, “Animal”.

Al Nassr will soon face Al-Taawoun in its final game of 2023 on December 30.

However, this is not the first time De Gea has praised his former United teammate. The Spanish shot-stopper once claimed Ronaldo was the best in the world. “He is focused in every training session and every game. This is why he is one of the best in history. He’s mentally very strong and that’s an example for everyone,” he said earlier this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo had parted ways with Manchester United during the winter transfer window last year, signing a $500 million deal with Al Nassr. As per Forbes, he became the world’s highest-paid athlete after his Saudi move. De Gea, on the other hand, remained with the club till the end of the season but failed to negotiate a new deal with the side, resulting in his free agency.
