Per the recent turn of events, the Red Devils’ Premier League rivals, Newcastle United, are mulling to sign David de Gea in a shock move. This decision comes from Newcastle United, a day after their goalkeeper Nick Pope suffered a shoulder injury in their win against Manchester United.

Per reports, New Castle’s Nick Pope might be laid off for at least four months due to the injury. Therefore, the Magpies have now eyed David de Gea as a potential replacement for Nick Pope.

Newcastle United are still awaiting the scan results of Nick Pope prompting them to closely pursue de Gea. However, David de Gea will reportedly have to take a pay cut, if he were to join Newcastle United.

Newcastle United’s wage structure is much lower and a move to St James Park would see the Spaniard fit to a lesser pay scale.
